- What is a "Track Support"? BAR Lines Model Railroad Supply manufactures a complete line of Track Supports. These useful "bridges" support model railroad track over large distances without the use of center supports. These are "Track Supports" because they support the track, you build a decorative bridge around the track support. The decorative "Bridge" is supported by the Track Support, not vice versa. This means you can use scale lumber and plastic to built a very prototypical looking bridge without having to worry about the bridge supports carrying the weight of the track and train.		- What is a "Girder Bridge"? BAR Lines Model Railroad Supply manufactures a complete line of Girder Bridges. They are scale models of the ubiquitous girder bridges found on almost all railroads for spanning roads, rivers, ravines, etc. These useful girder bridges support model railroad track over large distances without the use of center supports. The bridges are supplied undecorated. You decorate them to the desired level of detail, paint them the color of your favorite railroad, and decal them.
- What are they made of? BAR Lines Model Railroad Supply offers these Track Supports in either heavy gauge Steel, or heavy gauge stainless steel. The heavy gauge steel is primed for you to decorate, paint and put on decals of your favorite railroad. The Stainless Steel ones are made of 18-8 Nickel Stainless Steel and are polished and weather resistant for indoor or outdoor use.
- How long a span can these track supports span? UPS limits shipments to 108". We can build larger ones, but they must be either shipped by common carrier (which involves crating and high freight costs) or other arrangements must be made for delivery.
